About the Firm
Advancing Visions, LLC is a New York State Limited Liability Company that was founded in the fall of 2008 by Peter DeBartolo, who continues to manage the consulting firm as its current President.
Since 2004, Peter has provided strategic consulting and management services to leading non-profits, non-governmental organizations, and social enterprises around the world. Over the years, he has predominantly specialized in organizational development and positioning, stakeholder analysis, and strategic communications.
He completed his B.A. in Political Studies and Global & International Studies at Bard College, and studied at the Bard Globalization & International Affairs Program in New York City. He later attended Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, where he completed his M.A. in Political Science, and undertook Ph.D. coursework in Political Science and Sociology. Recently, Peter was named a StartingBloc Fellow at the 2010 New York Institute for Social Innovation hosted by New York University and was recognized as a Carnegie New Leader by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. He is a frequent lecturer on civil society, global social innovation, and international affairs, and teaches at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
